Santeria

Santeria is a spiritual tradition that originated in the Caribbean, blending West African Yoruba beliefs with elements of Catholicism.  It centers on a connection to divine forces knows as Orishas, who guide, protect, and influxes different aspects of life and nature.  Through rituals, offerings, prayers and divination practitioners seek balance, protection and alignment with their spiritual path. Santeria is deeply rooted in respect for ancestors, for nature and for the spiritual forces that surround us, and is both a way of life and a system of sacred knowledge passed down through generations.

In this course Nix will be covering each topic with general knowledge to help you understand the foundations of how Santeria is practiced in everyday life.  She will explore simple ways to begin connecting spiritually through prayer, rituals and spiritual baths, while learning the importance of intuitions and respect.
